An inmate incarcerated with the victim testified that he was taken to the yard by guards immediately preceding his passing, visibly injured and exposed from the waist down. His body has not been returned to Gaza.

Additional detainees who died in Israeli custody are unidentified. The prison service and military supplied researchers with the number of casualties in custody, and limited further data including the location where they died, but excluding the prisoners’ names.
