AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the official statement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Material
Players who finish the quest will obtain an special katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Unique weapons
- Survey Corps mount
Newest Free Story Update
This update also brings the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma."
