Even though entering their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a commanding result that virtually secures them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the last 16, particularly after a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a platform for several Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in succession.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
